RENO, Nevada — Martin Breunig’s final game in Missoula did not live up to his expectations. The Montana senior disappointed himself with a subpar performance as his Grizzlies limped into the Big Sky Conference tournament with a loss to struggling Northern Colorado.

On Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament, Breunig redeemed himself in resounding fashion. The 6-foot-8 unanimous first-team All-Big Sky selection scored 24 point, including eight straight during one stretch and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead his second-seeded Grizzlies to a 70-53 win over 10th-seeded Sacramento State in front of 2,213 Thursday evening at the Reno Special Events Center.
