Rorie, DeCuire finally connect at Montana

on

When Ahmaad Rorie stepped onto the court at USC’s Galen Center on Friday night for Montana’s season opener, he had been removed from the basketball court for nearly 20 months.

Way back in March 2015, Rorie played four minutes in Oregon’s 72-65 loss to Wisconsin in the second round of the NCAA tournament. On opening day 2016, Rorie knew he would be counted on to play a lot more than four minutes by a coach who always knew what Rorie was capable of.

“Him being the head coach here, me being here, it’s just like a blessing,” Rorie said of his relationship with third-year Montana coach Travis DeCuire. “It definitely feels like it finally happened.”
