Earlier this month, Montana State head coach Jeff Choate announced South Carolina graduate assistant Mark Orphey would take over for Gerald Alexander — who departed for Cal — as Montana State’s defensive backs coach in Choate’s second season in 2017. On February 15, 2017, Orphey (pronounced OR-Fey) met with the Montana media for the first time.
