No. 12 Montana gutted out a 17-10 win over Ferris State, the two-time defending Division II national champions.
The Griz shut out the Bulldogs in the second half and rode touchdowns from Eli Gilman and Nick Ostmo to move to 3-0 entering Big Sky Conference play.
The loss snapped Ferris State’s 28-game road winning streak.
Following the game, Ferris head coach Tony Annese along with Montana head coach Bobby Hauck, senior defensive tackle Alex Gubner (left) and sophomore quarterback Sam Vidlak addressed the media.
