Big Sky Conference basketball tournament – Eastern Washington get past Lady Griz

For the fifth year in a row, the Montana Lady Griz lost their first game at the Big Sky Conference tournament in Boise, Idaho.

UM raced out to a 23-18 lead after the first quarter only to surrender a 21-4 run to Eastern Washington as the fourth-seeded Eagles posted a 72-64 win over Montana.

EWU advances to the semifinals of the Big Sky Tournament to play the top-seeded Northern Arizona. The Lady Griz end their season 14-16.
