Big Sky women’s tournament – Idaho gets past Sac, into tourney championship

Top-seeded Idaho pushed its winning streak to a program-record 17 straight with a 59-51 win over No. 5 Sac State in the semifinals of the Big Sky Tournament.

The Vandals await the winner of No. 2 Montana State and No. 6 Eastern Washington. The Vandals’ only Big Sky loss came to Montana State in Bozeman in January.

Following the win, UI second-year head coach Arthur Moreira, Debora Dos Santos and Hope Hassman addressed media.

Sac State’s women defeated Idaho State 62-53 to advance to Tuesday’s semifinal. The loss means their season ends at 15-18. Aaron Kallhoff and his players addressed media following the season-ending loss.
