MISSOULA, Mont. — Colter Nuanez has once again been recognized among Montana’s top broadcasters, earning the 2026 Montana Radio Sportscaster of the Year award from the Montana Broadcasters Association as part of its annual E.B. Craney Awards.
The honor marks Nuanez’s fifth career Montana Sportscaster of the Year award and his 14th overall E.B. Craney Award, further cementing his standing as one of the state’s most accomplished and decorated broadcasters. No other broadcaster in the 76-year history of the E.B. Craney awards.
Nuanez has been a cornerstone of ESPN MT since joining the network in August 2017, serving as host of Nuanez Now while helping lead the station’s expansion into Montana’s premier destination for sports talk, live game coverage, podcasts, and digital media. During his tenure, ESPN MT has grown its audience across radio, streaming platforms, social media, and podcasting while providing comprehensive coverage of Montana athletics, Montana State athletics, Big Sky Conference competition, and national sports.

Throughout his career, Nuanez has become one of Montana’s most recognizable sports voices, covering everything from University of Montana Grizzlies athletics and Montana State Bobcats sports to Big Sky Conference championships, high school athletics, and major national sporting events. His work has also included long-form interviews, podcasts, feature storytelling, and in-depth analysis that have helped expand ESPN MT’s reach across multiple platforms.
The Montana Broadcasters Association’s E.B. Craney Awards recognize excellence in radio and television broadcasting across the state. Named in honor of broadcasting pioneer E.B. Craney, the awards celebrate outstanding achievement in journalism, programming, production, and community service.
