Montana hosts four prep recruits on official visits

MISSOULA — With National Signing Day less than two weeks away, Montana will host another group of talented prep players on official visits to Missoula this weekend.

Capping a week in which they received verbal commitments from Butte punter Nathaniel Ferguson and Anaconda athlete Braxton Hill, the Griz will host four talented players from out of state, including committed wide receiver Cole Grossman.

Montana signed 16 players during the early signing period, including mid-year transfers quarterback Dalton Sneed (UNLV) and defensive tackle Elijah Alford (Air Force Prep). UM has added mid-year transfer safeties Robby Hauck (Northern Arizona) and Gavin Robertson (Arizona) and running back Adam Eastwood (San Diego State) throughout this month.

Grossman and St. John Bosco (California) offensive lineman Cole Sain are also expected to sign with Montana with new Griz head coach Bobby Hauck on February 7.

The Griz will also try to lure three prep standouts to sign with the Griz by showing them the UM campus, the Garden City, Washington-Grizzly Stadium and Montana’s new Champions Center this weekend.
