Montana offense rolling in Big Sky play

It could have been more.

After lauding what he called his team’s most complete game of the season, that was the appraisal Montana head coach Bob Stitt gave of the Grizzlies’ offensive performance in a 43-20 win over Southern Utah on the first Saturday of October. He thought the unit’s output should have topped out somewhere north of 700 yards.

Three days later, discussing the matter on his weekly radio show, Stitt gave a similar assessment, saying the 627 yards the Grizzlies churned out against the Thunderbirds, could have been upward of 800.

Missed opportunities across the board, particularly early kept the total yards from challenging the school record and kept points off the board.
