Montana State press conference: Cats avoid UNC upset bid, move into semifinals

The top-seeded Montana State women’s basketball team outlasted No. 8 Northern Colorado, pulling out a 67-62 win in Tuesday’s first quarterfinal of the Big Sky Tournament in Boise, Idaho.

MSU freshman Darian White had 19 points, six rebounds and a crucial steal with 1:11 left to help the favorites advance to the semifinals. White, head coach Tricia Binford and senior Fallyn Freije addressed the media following the game.
