THE TRANSFER

Xavier Guillory, WR (Idaho State > Arizona State)

Photo cred: ISU Athletics

Rob Phenicie’s staff at ISU plucked Guillory out of the Air Force prep school and, after good-but-not-great seasons in spring and fall 2021, he exploded in 2022 with 52 catches for 785 yards in just 10 games, including 70-plus-yard house calls against both San Diego State and Cal Poly. That was all despite the Bengals rotating through three quarterbacks, none of them particularly impressive. With his athleticism and burst at 6-2, Guillory was equally likely to high-point a contested catch or turn on the jets to break a slant over the middle into a big gain. Like Skattebo, he chose Arizona State after receiving plenty of FBS interest in the portal this winter – and like Skattebo, he appears to be in line for plenty of touches with the Sun Devils this fall.
