THE REPLACEMENT

Christian Fredericksen

Multiple people around the Idaho State program pointed to Fredericksen as the likely replacement for Guillory as ISU’s top outside receiver. The piano-playing local product from up the road in Rigby finished fifth on the team with 217 yards on 14 catches in 2022, but at 6-foot-4, he’s got the frame to make plenty of plays on the outside. Griz fans will remember his TD catch in the Bengals’ near-comeback against Montana last October. Side note: the Bengals also have 6-foot-6 track star Michael Shulikov, who finished tied for fourth in the high jump at this year’s Big Sky Championships, listed on the football roster as a wide receiver.
