THE TRANSFER
Paul Moala, LB (Idaho > Georgia Tech)
After a rehabilitative year in Moscow, Moala, a former Notre Dame linebacker, found the lure of sparkly gold helmets too much to resist, transferring to Georgia Tech for his redshirt senior year. He was a game-wrecker for the Vandals last year, with 61 tackles, seven TFLs, two sacks, four interceptions and a forced fumble in 12 games from outside linebacker. With star middle linebacker Fa’avae Fa’avae also gone this year (graduation), Idaho needs to find two replacements in the middle of the defense if the Vandals hope to deliver on lofty preseason expectations.
