THE TRANSFER

Freddie Roberson, WR (Eastern Washington > Mississippi State)

Roberson had been a constant in Eastern’s deep receiver rotation since 2019, when he had 220 yards and a touchdown as a redshirt freshman. He made the all-Big Sky second team in the 2021 spring season, the third team in the fall (despite being the third-leading receiver on a stacked Eagles team) and the second team again in 2022, when he finally became the star of the group with 797 yards and seven touchdowns despite EWU taking a big step back. He elected to use his extra COVID year to enter the portal, where the former Seattle prep star eventually chose to head to the SEC with Mississippi State.
