NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: Offensive lineman Payton Stoner

PAYTON STONER – offensive lineman – Mt. Carmel High School – San Diego, California

The Numbers: Stoner originally committed to San Jose State, but reconsidered his decision when Ron Caragher was fired in late November. Stoner, who has added an estimated 75 pounds to his frame since his sophomore year, was a starting tackle for an offense that produced almost 190 rushing yards per game.

Accolades: Stoner was named a first-team all-league and a second-team All-CIF offensive lineman in addition to being chosen for the Blue-Grey All-American game.
