Patrick Carroll was out of his element when the fear started to set in.

Carroll and a collection of his new teammates at Montana State went on a floating and camping trip on the Bighorn River this summer. Fishing and sleeping under the stars for the first time were enough to push Carroll’s comfort zone. Then the lightning storm began.
