On December 15 in Cheney, Washington, third-seeded Eastern Washington dominated No. 7 Maine in a thorough 50-19 win in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs.

The victory moves EWU into its second national championship game in school history, marking the first time a school from the Big Sky Conference has advanced that far since the Eagles won it all in 2010.

Following the win, Eastern Washington senior linebacker Ketner Kupp (right), sophomore quarterback Eric Barriere and head coach Aaron Best addressed the media. EWU plays North Dakota State in Frisco, Texas on January 5, 2019.
