WATCH: Big Sky women’s quarterfinals – Vandals cruise past NAU, into semifinals

In the third quarterfinal of the Big Sky women’s basketball tournament, No. 2 Idaho blasted No. 7 Northern Arizona 67-50 to advance to semifinals.

Despite missing All-Big Sky PG Gina Marxen, the Vandals hustled their way to a win behind 22 points, 13 rebounds from senior Gabi Harrington. Idaho freshman Sydney Gandy became the latest Vandal rookie to have a breakout performance in the postseason, scoring 23 points.

Idaho head coach Jon Newlee, Harrington and Gandy along with Northern Arizona head coach Loree Payne and junior All-Big Sky guard Regan Schenck addressed the media after the quarterfinal game.
