WATCH: Big Sky women’s tourney quarters – MSU takes care of upstart Sac State

The No. 3 Montana State women took down No. 11 Sacramento State 66-55 in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference women’s basketball tournament on March 9, 2021.

Monday, the Hornets became the first bottom seed to win a tournament in the women’s bracket, bouncing No. 6 Montana 65-58. Tuesday, MSU hung on to advance to Wednesday’s 9 p.m. semifinal against No. 2 Idaho.

Following the game, MSU head coach Tricia Binford, senior Tori Martell (18 points, left) and freshman Lexi Deden (13 points) addressed the media.
