Montana won for the second week in a row, following up a 57-0 win over Cal Poly with a 63-7 blowout over Eastern Washington. The Griz are 4-3 in Big Sky Conference play, 7-3 overall entering their regular-season finale at No. 3 Montana State on November 19, 2022.

MSU is 7-0 in league play, 9-1 overall just like a year ago entering the 121st rivalry game against the Griz. UM won 29-10 in Missoula last season.

Montana head coach Bobby Hauck, senior linebacker Patrick O’Connell, senior wide receiver Mitch Roberts and senior safety Robby Hauck addressed the media on November 14, 2022 ahead of the game.
