BIG SKY PRESS RELEASE
The Big Sky Conference Players of the Week were announced on Monday by the league office. This week’s honors went to Idaho State’s Mitch Gueller for the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, Northern Arizona’s Maurice Davison for Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week, and Northern Colorado’s Kiefer Glau for the Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week.
Gueller, a sophomore wide receiver, caught four passes for a career-high 195 yards and one touchdown in Idaho State’s 59-30 victory over Portland State at Holt Arena. Gueller caught a 97-yard touchdown reception from his brother Tanner, which set a Bengal school record for the longest pass play from scrimmage. The receiver finished with receptions of 97, 28, 38 and 32 yards, averaging 48.75 yards per catch.

Davison was an integral part of Northern Arizona’s defensive secondary, as he helped the Lumberjacks to their fifth straight win with a 45-31 victory over UC Davis. He led the team with 10 tackles (5 solo, 5 assists) including 1.5 TFL’s in win over the Aggies. He pulled down his third interception of season – intended for FCS receiving yards leader Keelan Doss – and returned it for 21 yards. Davison’s interception marked his third straight game with a pick.
Kiefer Glau was on point for Northern Colorado on Saturday. Glau kept the field position in the favor of the Bears punt after punt. He averaged 48.6 yards per punt, including pinning Montana State inside its own 20-yard line twice. Glau’s best punt of the day sailed 70 yards, as the ball was downed at the Montana State six-yard line. The Bears won the average start position battle, starting at their own 32-yard line compared to the Bobcats at their 25.
