Big Sky women’s hoops championship: No. 3 Sac State beats No. 1 NAU, earns NCAA Tournament berth

The 2023 Big Sky Conference women’s basketball tournament came to a conclusion with top-seeded Northern Arizona and No. 3 Sac State squaring off for the league title.

Sac State buried 10 3-pointers and rode the momentum of 26 points from senior Jordan Olivares to a 76-63 win over the Lumberjacks. The win is Sac State’s 25th this season while the championship loss is the second in a row for NAU.

Following the win, seniors Jordan Olivares (right) and Kahlaijah Dean along with head coach Mark Campbell along with NAU head coach Loree Payne, senior point guard Regan Schenck and junior Emily Rodabaugh addressed the media.
