Bobcats kick off third spring under Choate

BOZEMAN — Jeff Choate remembers when he was a player at Montana Western in Dillon, when spring football finished, everyone went home for the summer. The Bulldogs would report back for fall camp in August and get into shape as quickly as possible with the first game fast approaching.

Those banked repetitions with your team in spring were so essential. Not so much anymore if you ask Montana State’s head football coach.

As Choate enters his third year at the helm for the Bobcats, his thoughts on spring football have changed significantly.
