Intriguing Columbus prospect Campbell earns himself a shot with Bobcats

on

Tommy Campbell decided on his goal and then chased it, even if it seemed sometimes like hardly anyone was watching.

The lanky, athletic and driven senior at Columbus High in South Central Montana heard stories of what it took to win a state championship from his head coach. Blake Hoge played on a Frenchtown team that won a Class A state title.

Campbell, who has never been one to seek the spotlight, remembers canceling plans with friends the summers before his junior and senior years, instead heading to the weight room. He wanted to chase a championship.
