MONTANA GRIZZLIES

MITCH ROBERTS – Wide Receiver – Missoula Sentinel – Missoula, Montana

The Numbers: A two-year starter at quarterback in Sentinel’s up-tempo, spread offense, Roberts had plenty of opportunities to make plays with his arm and his feet. As he led Sentinel to the playoffs his senior year, Roberts passed for 1,583 yards and 11 touchdowns and ran for 483 yards and four scores. But it’s at receiver, the same position his older brother, Ben, played for Montana, where Roberts impressed Griz coaches during summer drills.

Accolades: Roberts, at 6-1 and 180 pounds, was recognized for his work behind center with second-team Class AA all-state and first-team Western AA all-conference accolades.

Film: Mitch Roberts Highlights

Coach Mike Ferriter on Mitch Roberts: “He was a great athlete in high school. He played high school quarterback and we’re excited to see what he can do at receiver. We had his brother here — Ben — for one season. This is for you Ben: Mitch is a better athlete and a better football player than Ben Roberts.”

Story on Roberts committing to Griz: Roberts excited to play in front of home-town crowd with Montana

Mitch Roberts on Montana: “More than any other school, they make you feel special. They caught my attention and growing up here around Grizzly football, I know what it’s all about. It’s really something special. They are always a really talented team. That caught my eye first.”
