The Numbers: The 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive tackle is a 2-star recruit who led Garces Memorial to the No. 2 seed in the CIF Division II sectional playoffs.

The Accolades: When Hatten verbally committed to Montana State in November, the all-league selection held offers from St. Francis (PA) and Indiana State. Over the last two months, his stock exploded as he earned offers from Fresno State, Nevada and Utah State in the Mountain West along with Northern Colorado, UC Davis and Weber State in the Big Sky Conference. He earned first-team all-league and all-area honors as a senior. The honor roll member was chosen for the U.S. Army bowl.

Academics: Agricultural business

Hatten on Montana State: “I love the area of Montana. It’s a place I know I’m going to like. The coaches did an amazing job of recruiting me. They constantly contacted me, sending me cool stuff. I could not come up with one reason why I would not want to go to school there. I can tell it’s the perfect fit. I know I’m going to develop very well there and that’s the place I want to be.”

Film: Sean Hatten Highlights

Coach Choate on Hatten: “Sean emerged later on in his career. He had a tremendous senior season at Garces High School, a team that had a big turnaround his senior season, and Sean was a big part of that. He’s a big kid who had a ton of Mountain West offers and a lot from Big Sky schools, but he fell in love with Bozeman and wants to (major in) Ag Business and I think he has huge upside and is a really good get for us.”
