SUU’s Graves wins Big Sky weekly women’s award

FARMINGTON, Utah (December 14, 2020) – Southern Utah’s Liz Graves has been named the Big Sky Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Graves played in two games this week and averaged 21 points, nine rebounds, a steal, and 0.5 blocked shots.  She was 16-of-27 from the field and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Graves’ best game of the week came against Grand Canyon, where she helped the Thunderbirds to an 84-83 victory.  Against the Lopes, Graves had 24 points and 11 rebounds and shot 50 percent going 8-of-16. 

This is the second time in her career that Graves has been named Big Sky Player of the Week. The first award came when she played at Weber State.
