NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: K/P Jered Padmos

Jered Padmos: Kicker/punter – Jefferson County High School– Boulder, MT

The Numbers: Over the last two seasons, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Padmos averaged 39 yards per punt on 58 kicks, including a long of 66 yards. He pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 14 times. He averaged more than 60 yards per kickoff, notching 71 touchbacks during the last two seasons. In his varsity career, he drilled 113 of 135 extra points and 14 of 24 field goals. He has hit from 47 and 44 yards during games the last two years and drilled 8-of-11 field goals his senior season. He is also the starting quarterback and safety, as well playing varsity basketball and golf.

Accolades: Padmos was a Class-B all-state kicker, punter and defensive back in 2015.

Academics: Undecided

Padmos on Montana State: “It was an absolute dream come trueI’ve been watching the Cats since I was little. I couldn’t believe it when they offered but I was super excited.”

Coach Choate on Padmos: “He’s a guy who was identified in the process by the previous staff and we felt like he was a guy we wanted to hold on to to have consistent depth at that position. He was considered the best specialist in the state.”
