B.J. Robertson’s Montana ties run deep. The native of Sheridan began his coaching career coaching six-man football in tiny Rapelje before taking a job with Rockford College when the school began its football program. Robertson made stops at Southern Oregon and Rocky Mountain College before landing at Montana Western. He climbed the ranks to become the head coach at his alma mater, leading the Bulldogs into the Top 25 of the NAIA twice in three seasons. In the off-season, fellow Western alum and new Montana State head coach Jeff Choate hired Robertson to serve as Montana State’s special teams coordinator, tight ends coach and director of high school relations.
In this episode of the Bobcat Roundtable on 105.7 FM the Eagle in Bozeman, Robertson sits down with Colter Nuanez to discuss the collection of young players playing on special teams for the Bobcats, MSU’s first win of the 2016 season last weekend over Bryant and a look ahead to this week’s matchup with Western Oregon.
