Montana State squared off against Oregon State for the first time ever at Providence Park in downtown Portland, Oregon. The contest marked the first time OSU played in Portland since 1986.
The Beavers never punted, rolling up 540 yards of total offense and 32 first downs while also returning a punt 80 yards for a touchdown and a kickoff 65 yards to set up another easy score.
The point total is the most allowed by MSU since a loss to Kansas State in 2008. Montana State opens Big Sky Conference play next week at Eastern Washington.
MSU head coach Brent Vigen, sophomore quarterback Tommy Mellott and sophomore cornerback Simeon Woodard addressed the media after Montana State fell to 2-1 this season. Oregon State is now 3-0.
