Montana State went on the road and posted a 42-19 win over No. 1 and previously undefeated Sam Houston to advance to the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs for the second year in a row.

The victory served as MSU’s first true road win in the FCS playoffs. The loss was Sam Houston’s first-ever home playoff defeat.

MSU will host South Dakota State on Saturday at noon in Bozeman in the first FCS semifinal game in Montana since 2009 and the first at Bobcat Stadium since 1984. Monday, MSU head coach Brent Vigen addressed the media ahead of the Final Four matchup.
