Montana State women’s basketball: post-game press conference after MSU downs UNC

Exactly 365 days since its last Big Sky Conference loss, the Montana State women’s basketball team began its league title defense with a 54-46 over Northern Colorado Thursday night at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.

Montana State sophomores Kola Bad Bear and Darian White along with MSU 16th-year head coach Tricia Binford addressed the media following the win.

The win is Montana State’s 18th straight against Big Sky competition. The last time the Bobcats lost to a league opponent came last January 7, 2020 in a 68-67 defeat at the hands of Idaho.

MSU is 1-0 in league play, 4-3 overall. UNC is 1-4 in league play, 2-8 overall.
