Totino-Grace is one of Minnesota’s top football programs. The school has claimed 21 conference championships, including one in Kidd’s senior year last fall. The Eagles were the AAAAA runners-up Kidd’s junior season.

Accolades: The Catholic school also claimed its 21st sectional championship and advanced to its 25th state tournament. The school has claimed eight AAAA state championships and one AAAAA in 2012. The Eagles have two state runner-ups, including in 2014 when Kidd was a junior.

Academics: Undecided

Kidd on Montana State: “Montana State has only been recruiting me for a short time and they’ve only had this coaching staff for a short time. This is pretty much all I’ve known about them. Coach Ty Gregorak who came from Montana was actually my recruiter at Montana so when he switched schools, he still continued to recruit me. That’s how I got to know about Montana State. He’s a great coach.”

Coach Choate on Kidd: “Lewis Kidd is a young man that (defensive coordinator) Coach Ty Gregorak was on. He is a long guy, a 6-foot-6 kid with that position versatility. He was a very good defensive lineman in high school. He may end up being an NFL prototype offensive lineman down the road. It’s all about how he develops. He’s a great player and I think he is going to have a huge career here.”
