MICHAEL MATTHEWS – linebacker – Camas High School – Camas, Washington
The Numbers: A productive and rangy 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker who started for three years and led the Papermakers to their first state football championship, Matthews was the key to a defense that allowed more than 20 points just three times all season.
Accolades: Matthews was a two-time Class 4A Greater St. Helens League Defensive Player of the Year. He was also selected to as a Seattle Times and New Tribune All-State linebacker during his senior season.

And the location and just the feel of Washington-Grizzly and all the great history that has been there. Montana is just paradise for me. I couldn’t see myself being anywhere else.”
