Big Sky Conference

Fish cultivating toughness in newcomers with 3rd season approaching

on

As Montana State finished stretching and prepared for its fifth practice of Brian Fish’s third season, the Bobcat men’s basketball coach pulled his star aside. Fish softly told sophomore sensation Tyler Hall, “Tyler, today I need you to pass the ball. I need to see what these other guys can do.”

Hall, last season’s Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year and a surefire preseason All-Big Sky selection, is certainly a proven commodity. Last season, Hall scored 596 points and poured in 96 3-pointers, averaging nearly 19 points per game while shooting 43 percent from distance.

The rest of the Bobcats, however, are a work in progress.
