on

Montana football player Garrett Graves has been awarded the 2020 Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) Athletes in Service Award, honoring the sophomore safety for his dedication to volunteerism and community service.

Graves, a native of Eureka, is one of 11 recipients of this year’s Athletes in Service Award, and the only football player in the state to earn the distinction.

The Athletes in Service Award recognizes one student-athlete from each MTCC Affiliate Campus across the state who has dedicated their efforts to serving the community while also pursuing their college degrees and certificates while participating in college sports.

Graves received the award for his work spending time with after school programs mentoring elementary students, participating in Montana’s new Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and several other community service initiatives that help make the Missoula community, and the state of Montana, a better place.
