NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: Running back Jake Roper

JAKE ROPER- Running back – Boise State –  Meridian, Idaho

 The Numbers: The 5-foot-11, 190-pound running back led Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian right outside of Boise to its first-ever Idaho 5A state title by rushing for 1,454 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2015 before spending last fall as a walk-on redshirt freshman at Boise State. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

The Accolades: Roper earned 5A All-Idaho first-team honors and was selected to the District 3 East-West All-Star game as a senior. In the 5A state title game, he rushed for 308 yards and five touchdowns in Rocky Mountain’s 41-22 victory. His five touchdowns and 30 points are state title game records. He also earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and was ranked as MaxPreps No. 1 player in Idaho as a senior.

Roper on Montana State: Roper signed with Montana State days before the spring semester began and has not been made available for interviews by MSU sports information since joining the team.
