Transfers fill needs for Bobcats in Choate’s first recruiting class

Tyler Bruggman and Alex Neale wanted a place where they felt like they fit in.

Bruggman, a quarterback who most recently played at Scottsdale Community College, and Neale, a center who most recently played at UNLV, are the two newest additions to Montana State’s football roster.

Neale, a former three-star recruit who won a Washington 3A state title as a senior at Eastside Catholic outside of Seattle, initially verbally committed to the University of Montana. UNLV came in late and offered Neale, selling him on the challenges of the FBS along with the school’s engineering program. The 6-foot-3, 290-pounder played in five games as a true freshman last fall but never felt at home in Sin City.
